365- Furry

365- Furry, originally uploaded by boomer3297.

The American Museum of Natural History houses this Woolly Mammoth and in it’s heyday(some 150000 years ago) had fur or hair up to 3 feet long.
Hey Ron, you’ve said wildlife is in abundance in your neck of the woods, but I’m sure you haven’t seen any of these in the outback. LOL

I can hardly wait to hear Ron’s response! LOL Wonderful take for this theme, don’t think I would want to run in to him in my back yard! 🙂 (Maybe he would eat the toilet paper though! ) 🙂

  2. Wow, this is certainly an impressive critter! I too, am waiting for Ron’s response!

  3. That old, huh? Marvelous! Great shot. Ron, give this your best shot! lol

Tammy – since he was vegetarian, the worst he could do was hook you up to give you a ride on the his tusks, or trample you to death.

  4. No mate, Biggest Native wildlife here is a Big Red Kangaroo, but just a little before that fellow was wandering around littering the ground with three foot long hair. We had a Wombat that was twice the size of a modern Rhino, don’t think I would benefit from a meeting with either of them.

  5. Wonderful shot, I love the light which must have been tricky in the museum. Now I want to see a giant wombat!
